De Bazoulé à la Ferme / From Bazoulé to the Farm

From Bazoulé to the Farm

The fascination of Luc for the sacred watters of Bazoulé is well known. He explain without tiring how "the first time when we went to Bazoulé for a report, with André Servan in 1996, we fell under the charm of this pool, its crocodiles, the population and naturally the village headman Nabakiiba". The interest and the emotion which Luc feels for this atypical place, he wanted to share them through his book Crocodiles.
For Luc, this pond "is a rare place to the world where we can see the herds, the children, the breeders around the water and around its crocodiles which are the soul of watter". The images, the history of this outstanding village have a quite particular place in Luc's life, who kep very strong links with those that he had the honor to meet there.
So, Alphonse kaboré's unexpected visit in this November was a pure happiness for the founder of the Farm of crocodiles. It was the second visit in Pierrelatte for the young president of the association of tourism and development of Bazoulé. Alphonse had already come there for the congress of the specialists of Crocodilia there in 2006.
A visit which, "fall magnificently because the same day, I had bought the last number of the National geographic, and it contains Olivier Born's photo on which Alphonse makes dance a crocodile of the sacred watters of Bazoulé" explains Luc. As what, a happiness never comes alone !
